Dear Residents,

After the JapFest event earlier on this year, some of you were good enough to share with us your concerns about the behaviour of some of the visitors to the event, especially along the A413 in the village.

Our Police Liaison Representative, Councillor Bruce Benyon has liaised with the police to see if they would consider looking at some special measures for future events where similar behaviour may occur. As some of you will know Trax is on at the circuit on the 1st September, and this has been identified as a similar type event. The local police team have confirmed that they have put a plan in place to ameliorate the problems a small percentage of the visitors to these events can cause.

Whilst it is not appropriate to share the details, I think it is very appropriate to share the fact that our local police listened to our concerns as villagers and have acted upon them.
